The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in sourcing materials, preparing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of construction chemicals and building materials. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and comparing suppliers for construction and building materials.
Prepare purchase requests and purchase orders as per company guidelines.
Follow up with suppliers for quotations, confirmations, and order updates.
Maintain and update an approved supplier list and assist in identifying new vendors.
Support the implementation of procurement or ERP software to streamline workflow.
2. Stock & Inventory Support
Monitor stock availability and assist in ensuring adequate inventory levels.
Coordinate with the warehouse for regular stock checks and verification.
Organize and track material samples for clients and sales teams.
Maintain accurate documentation of stock movements.
3. Order & Delivery Follow-Up
Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Update internal teams on expected arrival dates and any potential delays.
Coordinate with transporters, suppliers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth logistics.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain well-organized procurement files, contracts, quotations, and delivery records.
Assist in preparing reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
Provide accurate data for cost tracking and purchasing analysis.
5. Internal Coordination
Work closely with sales, accounts, and operations departments for seamless supply chain activities.
Assist in resolving procurement-related or delivery-related issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience in procurement or purchasing roles is preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP/procurement software is an advantage.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
