We are now looking for a proactive and technically skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team and play a key role in sourcing, supplier management, and supporting sales operations.
Job Objective
To leverage extensive knowledge of procurement strategies and the oil and gas equipment supply chain to optimize purchasing processes, achieve significant cost efficiencies, and ensure timely and compliant delivery of critical materials and services. Aiming to contribute to the operational excellence and strategic growth of a leading organization within the oil and gas sector by fostering robust supplier relationships and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Procurement
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Request, analyze, and compare supplier quotations; negotiate favorable terms (including last-minute discounts, lead times, and payment terms).
Float inquiries based on sales team requests and issue purchase orders using FOCU software.
Maintain accurate procurement records (pricing, delivery timelines, vendor performance).
Monitor market trends to proactively identify cost-saving opportunities.
2. Supplier Management
Build and maintain strong long-term supplier relationships.
Maintain and regularly update the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and resolve supply chain issues or discrepancies.
Explore new sourcing opportunities to enhance procurement competitiveness.
3. Client & Sales Support
Identify and engage potential and existing clients in Qatar.
Provide technical and pricing support to sales for inventory-based quotations.
Promote and contribute to the sales of in-stock items by identifying RFQs that can be fulfilled through inventory.
Attend relevant exhibitions and events to expand NWH's client and partner network.
4. Coordination & Communication
Collaborate with sales, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.
Provide timely updates on purchase order status and required documentation.
Submit competitive, technically accurate offers and participate in Management Review Meetings (MRM).
5. Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and quality standards.
Maintain complete documentation to support audits and internal controls.
Submit regular marketing plans, meeting minutes (MoM), and procurement reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2-5 years of experience in procurement and/or sales, preferably in the industrial or oil & gas sectors.
Strong technical understanding of sourcing and supplier evaluation.
Proficiency in procurement tools/software
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
HSE Responsibilities
