Position Overview
ADNOC is seeking a Process Engineer to perform process engineering duties, conduct technical studies, and ensure smooth and safe plant operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze reports, laboratory tests, and log sheets to assess process engineering activities, identify abnormalities, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collect and evaluate monthly production and operating data to measure efficiency in chemical and energy consumption.
  • Study and propose modifications to meet variations in production plans and feedstock requirements.
  • Organize and conduct performance tests to optimize unit operating parameters and identify bottlenecks.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and HAZID studies related to plant modifications.
  • Develop and apply simulation models and advanced techniques for process monitoring and optimization.
  • Support root cause analysis studies, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical services and assistance to instrumentation, maintenance, and inspection teams.
  • Support advanced process systems including Alarm Management (AMS), Advanced Process Control (APC), Control Loop Performance Monitoring (CLPM), and Real Time Optimization (RTO).
  • Assist in automating, monitoring, and reporting process safety KPIs.
  • Contribute to conceptualization, design, and implementation phases of new projects and plant modifications.
  • Review and provide feedback on engineering documents, P&IDs, and drawings.
  • Conduct feasibility and optimization studies at the site level for cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze unit energy performance, recommending improvements.
  • Assist in process safety assessments and action plans to mitigate risks.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Process Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in process or design engineering within a large industrial organization, preferably in oil and energy.
  • Knowledge of gas extraction and processing operations.
  • Proficiency in preparing equipment specifications, PFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering tools/software such as HYSIS, HTRI, PI, LIMS, and CPIMS.
  • Familiarity with HAZOP, HAZID, APC, AMS, CLPM, and RTO.
  • Ability to perform process-engineering calculations and establish performance monitoring programs.
  • Knowledge of international codes, standards, and HSE practices.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
