Position Overview
ADNOC Group is seeking a Process Automation Specialist to support, analyze, and enhance automation systems across major facilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing systems including telecommunications, telemetry, ICS, DCS, process control systems, real-time plant information systems, and laboratory management systems for obsolescence, spare availability, vendor support, and integration readiness.
  • Conduct performance audits and identify improvement opportunities that enhance reliability and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Support development and updating of technical specifications and conduct feasibility studies to evaluate financial and technical viability.
  • Prepare system functional specifications, design documentation, as-built records, user manuals, training materials, and other engineering documents.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel and vendors on system upgrades, modifications, and support requirements.
  • Provide engineering expertise in optimization, alarm management, control loop performance monitoring, real-time information systems, and higher-level MES applications.
  • Develop scopes of work and tender documents for automation projects, and participate in technical bid evaluations.
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and upgrade work to ensure timely completion in alignment with automation standards and project budgets.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Controls, Chemical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in automation systems design, installation, commissioning, operations, testing, and maintenance within oil and gas or large industrial settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of ICS, DCS, process control, real-time information systems, and laboratory information management systems.
  • Understanding of optimization applications, alarm management, loop performance monitoring, and related engineering concepts.
  • Skilled in developing technical documentation, specifications, and feasibility studies.
  • Strong coordination, analytical, and system assessment capabilities.
