Position Overview
This senior-level role leads stormwater and hydrology design for major Abu Dhabi infrastructure programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and design of stormwater and hydrology systems across roads, urban development, and infrastructure projects
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to assess flows, drainage patterns, and system performance
  • Develop flood mitigation, erosion control, and sustainable drainage solutions
  • Ensure all designs meet Abu Dhabi ADQCC requirements, environmental codes, and industry standards
  • Utilize BIM tools for infrastructure workflows including clash detection and model coordination
  • Work extensively with Infoworks ICM, Bentley, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Esri GIS tools
  • Drive value engineering and design optimization activities
  • Supervise and mentor senior and junior engineers, modelers, and technical staff
  • Review and approve designs, calculations, technical reports, and BOQs
  • Coordinate approvals and NOCs with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies
  • Lead internal and external coordination to ensure technical alignment and smooth project delivery
  • Prepare drainage studies, environmental assessments, risk evaluations, and permitting documentation
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry best practices in stormwater management
  • Provide expert technical guidance during design development, construction supervision, and post-contract phases
  • Identify and resolve design-related issues, interface conflicts, and environmental constraints
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering; master's preferred
  • Minimum 13 years of stormwater and hydrology engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of stormwater standards, sustainability requirements, and drainage regulations
  • Experience with Abu Dhabi authority processes including ADQCC
  • Proficient in hydrology and drainage design software including Infoworks ICM, Bentley, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Esri GIS
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams
