Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Static Equipment Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, to work on FEED and EPC Projects.

Responsibilities Prepare thermal designs for heat exchangers using HTRI software Undertake studies and prepare reports on exchanger selection and design Preparation of data sheets for heat exchangers Prepare/contribute to project specifications Prepare/contribute to material requisitions Support the evaluation of vendor offerings Review of vendor drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with specified design Liaising with other engineering disciplines regarding the integration of equipment into overall plant design Liaising with other Company Departments (including Project Management, Procurement, Cost and Planning, Inspection and Construction) Support and contribution to Project Reviews (including HAZOP, Plot Plan, P&ID, Value Engineering and Constructability) Provision of support and advice on heat exchanger matters Skills / Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering experience with heat exchanger in the oil and gas, refining, petrochemical and related industries Familiarity with HTRI software Familiarity with mechanical design, fabrication, inspection and testing of exchangers Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills Experience with a contractor, operator or consultancy on refinery, petrochemical or oil & gas projects Familiarity with TEMA, API and ASME standards and familiarity with applying client standards and specifications Computer literate within Microsoft Office Company Overview
