Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Package Equipment Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, to work on FEED and EPC Projects.
Responsibilities Supporting the selection of Process Packages, Boilers, Fired Heaters and Miscellaneous Mechanical Equipment Preparing reports on equipment selection Preparation of data sheets for process packages, boilers, fired heaters and miscellaneous mechanical equipment Preparation of project specifications Preparation of material requisitions Evaluation of vendor offerings Review of vendor drawings and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications Liaising with other engineering disciplines regarding the integration of equipment into overall plant design Liaising with other Company Departments (including Project Management, Procurement, Cost and Planning, Inspection and Construction) Support and contribution to Project Reviews (including HAZOP, Plot Plan, P&ID, Value Engineering and Constructability) Provision of support and advice on package equipment matters Skills / Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Extensive experience, primarily in a contracting environment, working with vendor packages, boilers, fired heaters and miscellaneous mechanical items on FEED and EPC projects for the oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical and related industries Familiarity with the main components of packages (vessels, pumps, exchangers, piping, valves, motors and instruments) Flexible attitude, with good written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with relevant API and ASME codes and standards Computer literate within Microsoft Office Company Overview
