Senior level operational professional, typically site based. Responsibilities include support of all phases of project activities on medium (USD100MM) projects, including variety of scopes that include engineering, procurement, and construction. This position is a Professional (Degreed) role and may have supervisory responsibility. The role typically reports to Project or Operations Management. Responsibilities:

Senior level operational professional, typically site based. This position is a Professional (Degreed) role and may have supervisory responsibility. The role typically reports to Project or Operations Management. Responsibilities:
- The Principal Operations Specialist role provides technical support to coordinate engineering, procurement and construction deliverables during all project phases to ensure that project designs meet operational requirements and specified engineering standards
- Possess thorough knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Telecom related subjects with regards to EPC projects.
- Participate in safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL etc.
- Technical evaluation and approval of E&I vendors and subcontractors.
- Familiar in design of Fire and Gas systems
- Participate in FATs and SATs
- Coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones
- May be responsible for client or customer reporting requirements and client operational interactions
- Manages fabrication at subcontractors fabrication facilities
- Ensures seamless process from design to installation of components
- Delivery of the various engineering, construction, purchasing, scheduling, and start-up aspects of a project(s)
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Programs, such as Lessons Learned and other programs which support achievement of quality and project goals
- Ensure that items are installed as per latest project specifications and drawings, meeting quality, cost and time constraints
- Help with resource allocation
- Monitor progress and schedule performance, and identify problems in respect to budget schedules, engineering standards, working directly with Project Controls
- Investigate and follow-up on technical queries with the technical services groups
- Provide technical and quality assistance to Construction Supervisors and Field crews.
- Identify and interpret material specifications and provide technical support to supply chain to support project schedules
- Ensure work undertaken complies with scope and meets operational requirements. Obtain appropriate approvals of and documenting calculations, specifications, variations etc.
- Previous experience in a coordinating role on EPC projects including product knowledge, understanding of specifications and critical steps in project execution
- Commercial and contractual awareness and experience of coordinating handover activities
- Be a proven team player able to work in large teams operating globally, will demonstrate good communication skills and an understanding of cultural challenges.
- Prior ADNOC experience is a plus
- Prior Brownfield experience is a plus
- Must have managed a crew in field installation of components.
- Prior Tank experience is a plus
- Must have worked from bid to project completion
- Must be willing to stay on project sites for an extended period of time
- Typically 12-15 years since first degree and 10+ years relevant experience in Engineering, Project Engineering, Construction Management or Project Controls
- 4+ Yrs. Engineering preferred
- Professional Degree (Engineering or other Technical BS Required)
- Business presence and polish
- Knowledge of CB&I products and markets is preferred
- Proactively identifies and solves the complex problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mentally agile and ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
- Proven negotiating ability with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organization

- Exceptional communication and presentation skill, both written and verbal
