About our client
Our client is a prestigious investment fund with a strong track record and a global investment remit. This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a Principal to join their team based in the United Arab Emirates. The role will focus on special situations investments in global public and private markets, including both equity and credit, with an emphasis on restructuring investment opportunities. What the job involves

• Generate deal flow and investment ideas by considering relevant macro and industry trends in accordance with the special situations investment mandate
• Manage the entire life cycle of investments, including screening and analysis, presenting at investment committee meetings, monitoring investments, and overseeing exits
• Prepare, present, and defend internal investment recommendations
• Maintain constant awareness of activities in assigned sectors and geographic locations to identify potential investment opportunities

Who we are looking for

• Significant transaction experience with a proven track record of evaluating, underwriting, and executing investment opportunities in the asset classes in which GSS invests
• Extensive experience in restructuring and distressed investments is essential
• Strong understanding of business models and value drivers is crucial
• Ability to underwrite in-depth business plans and models for both equity and credit investments across various sectors and geographies
• Must have strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Degree and/or MBA from a top-tier university is required
