Randstad is working with an international architecture and engineering consultancy in the search for a Principal Architect to join their Dubai operation. The Principal Architect will have at least 15 years of experience working on a diverse range of building typologies. While strong design acumen is valuable, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of steering projects through the technical design stages and successfully delivering them through construction. Middle East experience is highly preferred, but we are open to candidates with a global perspective who can thrive in the fast:paced environment of Dubai. Experience working on:site and managing the challenges of project execution is an advantage. Responsibilities: * Lead and oversee the technical delivery of complex architectural projects across various sectors. * Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural and MEP engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. * Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior architects and design teams * Review and approve detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents * Conduct site visits, inspections, and liaise with contractors to resolve on:site challenges * Maintain a deep understanding of local and international building codes, standards, and best practices * Drive innovation in building systems, materials, and methodologies to enhance project delivery and sustainability Key Requirements: * Minimum 15 years of experience in architecture, with strong exposure to technical design and construction stages * Experience across multiple building typologies (e.g., commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed:use, institutional * Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials and detailing * Proven ability to lead projects from detailed design through to site execution * Expertise in building codes, technical standards, and construction best practices * Middle East experience is highly desirable but not mandatory * Excellent leadership, problem:solving, and communication skills * Proficiency in relevant architectural and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
