Pricing Analyst

Job Description

  • Provide a reliable actuarial production service.
  • Document all work produced thoroughlyAssist in products development, pricing, and portfolio reviews.
  • Set assumptions for pricing and valuation purposes.
  • Project revenues and profits for the business cases and offers of potential bancassurance alliances
  • Validate of system generated data.
  • Create, check and maintain quotation tools.
  • Undertake regular experience analysis.
  • Prepare dashboards and management monitoring tools.
  • Carry out pricing calculations for proposed new tenders for the business, re-pricing of existing business, and review relevant documents in a timely manner, having regard to risks accepted.
  • Develop, maintain and supervise/use generic pricing models.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research into pricing rates related events to ensure products are priced accurately and relevant parties informed of future product development trends.
  • Recommend pricing that meets corporate profitability targets, including negotiated exceptions up to the level of delegated authority.
  • Maintain case files on product and scheme pricing decisions and assumptions.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by manager.

Skills

Business Knowledge/Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science (preferable) or Engineering.
  • Actuarial exam passes are a plus
  • Advance towards qualification as a Fellow of the Society or Institute of Actuaries
  • 0-3 years in Risk Management, Actuarial or another technical functions in an insurance, reinsurance or consulting company
  • Highly numerate, analytical and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent English and Arabic language skills (Verbal and Written)
  • A good understanding of actuarial concepts and analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Access, VBA, SAS and R is a plus
