Position Title: Pre-Sales Engineer

Why We Need You Working as part of a regional team and global family, you will provide technical presales services to customers in EMEA, predominantly in the Middle East, for EditShare\xe2\x80\x99s sales and marketing teams. You will demonstrate our products to customers, prospective customers and reseller partners. Reporting to the EMEA Regional Pre-sales Manager, you will play a critical role in converting the sales pipeline to closed deals.

As a Pre-sales engineer you will collaborate with the sales support or account team by acting as technical expert in customer presentations. In addition, you will determine the technical requirements to meet client goals and act as liaison between the organization\xe2\x80\x99s sales/business development and engineering groups. You will also respond to requests for information or requests for proposals from customers, supplying the technical details of proposed solutions. Pre-sales engineers must coordinate the transition between pre-sales specifications and implementation engineering once contracts have been awarded.
Problems You\xe2\x80\x99ll Solve

• Performing product demonstrations via Zoom, on premises and at regional and international trade shows.
• Carrying out on site technical installations and product training when required.
• Capture customers\' pain points and then work with them to design new workflows, with simple diagrams and \xe2\x80\x9cscope of work\xe2\x80\x9d documentation in conjunction with the sales team.
• Prove that the recommended concepts and designs above are valid and appropriate, using the minimum technical equipment and time necessary to cover the subject and maintain the selling process.
• Provide product updates and technical information to customers and resellers.
• Work with sales and marketing to identify and approach potential sales opportunities.
• Support the tender/RFP process. Creating proposal responses.
• Work with engineering and customer support in scoping manpower requirements to implement and support any given customer project.
• Provide handover information to support as required.
• Complete documentation for SoW and PoC\xe2\x80\x99s.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For

• Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Arabic speaking is essential.
• Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Self-starter, good time management skills, great communicator.
• Experience in product demonstration. Seasoned performer.
• Willingness to travel, passport holder.
• Knowledge of shared storage and ethernet network engineering.
• Well versed in MS Office, TCP/IP, Linux OS, Windows OS, Mac OS, and command line.
• Well versed in capturing, collating and documenting customer requirements.
• Experience with AVID Media Composer, BMD DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere + VFX, Audio, Animation & finishing systems.
• Ideally 5+ years of relevant technical experience in audio, video, digital film, post-production and broadcast industry.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background and experience in system design, configuration & installation.
• Degree holder or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronics/computer engineering, information systems, or business administration.
• Strong knowledge of network switching hardware and ethernet based optical or copper network technologies
• Highly desirable is knowledge of communication, digital audio and IP video technology (AES3, AES67, SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-6, NDI) as well as IP technologies (TCP, UDP, IGMP, DHCP, VLAN, LACP, MTU, PTP V-2, VPN, Multicast media traffic)
• Highly desirable is the knowledge of complex broadcast content creation and play out workflows.
• Highly desirable is proficiency in network switch configuration via CLI (eg. Cisco)
• Highly desirable is proficiency with Python & SQL
• Highly desirable is knowledge of Cloud Storage and Virtualization technologies (AWS, S3, Terraform etc.)
