Position Title: Presales Engineer

Summary

The Presales Engineer will be reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager. He/she will be part supporting our Dubai services offering. He/she will be involved at the design stage of the customer solution working closely with our local Sales team in various UAE markets. He/she would be working with our clients to design Infrastructure solutions to their challenges, work with our team to innovate new solutions and help shape the product portfolio that we offer.

Main Duties

Supporting the sales team in designing virtual infrastructure platforms in our Datacenter and end-user client sites

Defining customers problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Sharing design feedback, providing technical and procedural guidance to the implementation team and conducting conversations at the executive layer as well as conveying both technical and business merits of our solution to the relevant parties

Bridging internal customer gaps and adversarial/disparate groups within customer organization and win them over to our solutions

Providing information about competitive products and clearly differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of the offerings based on real-world experience

Effectively presenting information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Articulating the IaaS, DRaaS and BUaaS cloud solutions and services

Creating and delivering of architecture proposals, as well as the development and delivery of Solution Briefs that fit within company guidelines

Leading responses to POCs, RFPs, RFQs and RFIs as defined by the customer

Gathering customer requirements, mapping them closely to a solution and helping in the documentation of the proposed solution

Demonstrating the solution to customers

Liaising with vendors to assure the various elements of the solution and providing appropriate Bill of Materials

Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Performing other duties as assigned

Experience, qualifications, and skills

BS. engineering or related field with minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure environments with Pre-Sales design experience

Certificates: VMWare VCP5/6, HPE Certifications (Compute and Storage), Networking or Firewall Certifications, ITIL(preferable)

Technical Skills: Physical Server and Storage Area Network Builds, vCenter and vSphere 5.x 6.x, Hyper-V Technologies, Networking (WLANs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP), Windows Server 2008/2008 R2/2012 R2, Firewalls and Networking, Backup Solutions, Endpoint Protection Solutions

Proven experience in designing, planning and implementing technical upgrades and migration strategies

Experience using TCO analysis and other (ROI) tools to financially justify proposals understand the data from the performance testing and be able to articulate the findings

Experience working with Business Partners to fulfill solutions and services

Soft Skills: self-starter, multi-tasker, flexible, results, documentation and process driven, organized, and team player Very good oral and written communication skills with fluency in English language. Arabic is a plus
