The Role
The PR and Communications Specialist is responsible for growing and maintaining the firm\xe2\x80\x99s reputation and brand. The candidate will create, plan and execute PR strategies, identify media opportunities, build and maintain media relations, and manage conference opportunities in the region. Responsibilities PR and media strategy \xe2\x80\xa2 Work in close coordination with the PR firm to formulate PR campaigns, strategies and activations to promote the firm\xe2\x80\x99s thought leadership in the media \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that our campaigns are aligned with our strategic goals \xe2\x80\xa2 Support in the dissemination of press releases and articles \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay on top of industry current trends, competitors\xe2\x80\x99 news, news stories and areas of trending public interest \xe2\x80\xa2 Build consistent editorial plans \xe2\x80\xa2 Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness Media Relations \xe2\x80\xa2 Establish and maintain relationships with media contacts, key influencers, and digital communicators \xe2\x80\xa2 Leverage existing media relationships, including broadcast, traditional, and online to land prominent placements \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct media outreach and seek high-level media placements \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage media inquiries and interview requests in a timely and professional manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify the right publications/media outlets to expand our presence in the region Content Creation \xe2\x80\xa2 Spearhead PR content development and deployment of assets (imagery, press releases, key messages, storytelling/feature/pitch packages) \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft compelling story angles and develop diversified asset packages to maximize coverage opportunities \xe2\x80\xa2 Proofread and edit content to ensure writing is clear, compelling, and on-brand \xe2\x80\xa2 Brief VCS designers and guide them through efforts to innovate on PR and media formats Conferences and corporate events \xe2\x80\xa2 Build out the firm\xe2\x80\x99s conference speaking calendar \xe2\x80\xa2 Source and negotiate conference opportunities across our industries \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead promotional and branding activities for conferences/events \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as an events team lead and a liaison for all event projects to ensure client satisfaction \xe2\x80\xa2 Take an active role in handling logistics of events managed and supported by the firm \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an ongoing basis Expert Communications Coaching \xe2\x80\xa2 Support in all aspects of media trainings with clients and contractors, liaising with seniors/participants on content, attendance and logistics \xe2\x80\xa2 Organize, schedule, and prepare key leaders for press interviews \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead all aspects of seniors\xe2\x80\x99 photo shoots and media bios Reporting \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor local media report and handle various media requests \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the marketing team in providing analysis and building weekly and monthly activity reports Others \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain repository of photo assets and digital files \xe2\x80\xa2 Support in managing viewpoint inventory, ensuring offices are sufficiently stocked \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow up on deadlines and deliverables with key parties such as marketing material vendors and printers

Requirements
Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field \xe2\x80\xa2 4+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent organization skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in copywriting and editing \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong working knowledge of media \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong oral and written communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns
