Our client who is a leading government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking to hire a Power BI specialist. The role is to lead the design and development of BI reports and dashboards for providing insights to improve decision-making process. The role requires extensive knowledge about data visualization, data cleansing, data integration, data warehousing, data modeling, database languages, and technical aspects of BI tools to maintain, support and develop advanced reports and dashboards

Responsibilities:

— Understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights
— Create PowerBI advanced dashboards and interactive visuals with drill-down and slice-and-dice functionalities
— Understand the importance of data visualisations and aesthetic dashboards with a high focus on data value creation and space optimization
— Able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks
— Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform efficient detailed analysis
— Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
— Create charts and document data with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations
— Provide inputs to be considered during data warehouse development process
— Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI

Requirements:

— BS or MS in computer science or information system along with work experience in a related field
— 7+ years of experience in advanced data analytics, advanced reporting and ETL jobs in project with Data Warehouse implementations
— 7+ years of experience in Power BI
— 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS
— Understanding of JavaScript, CSS, SQL, and other JavaScript libraries
— Essential to have experience with BI tools and systems such MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSIS, SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX
— Must have 5-7 years of experience in data-specific roles
— Since our client is a government entity, preference will be given to UAE nationals with Family book
