**Data from the Graduate Destination Survey 2017 to 2020 About the programme/project
The successful candidate will join the team to work on a research project in the thematic areas of Food Security and Agri-food Supply Chain. The project will examine the global drivers of change and assess their impact on the United Arab Emirates food systems including the society and the dietary habits of the consumers and will deliver tools for evidence-based decision making and policy planning. The project addresses the UAE National Food Strategy 2051 Vision to become a \xe2\x80\x9cworld leading hub in innovation-driven food security\xe2\x80\x9d, with the introduction of a set of new innovative tools and it is aligned with the country\xe2\x80\x99s 2021 mission to \xe2\x80\x9censure food security under all circumstances through enabling technology- based production and supply of food, promoting international trade partnerships, and enforcing policies and regulations to enhance nutritional intake and reduce food loss and waste\xe2\x80\x9d. Requirements & Responsibilites

• A good knowledge of statistical methods (e.g. multivariate analysis based on experimental research) and software packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS).
• Knowledge in Early Warning System (EWS) design, development of ICT solutions for Agrifood supply chain management, food security and policy decision making support is required.
• Knowledge of Open AI, Machine learning models in adaptive demand forecasting and EWS design are required.
• Keen interest in Food and Nutrition security. Previous experience in the GCC region will be a plus.
• Ability to manage time, resources, data, and details of multiple projects is also required.
• Experience with external funding and grant application is a plus.
• Active participation in the research team and interactions with the other post-doctoral researchers, Professors, and PhD students are expected.
• This role is based in Dubai, therefore candidates must be currently based in UAE or available to relocate immediately

Qualifications & Experience

• Have a Ph.D. (or be close to completion) in supply chain management, or equivalent, with particular emphasis on food supply chains, agribusiness, food and nutrition security, sustainable agriculture etc.
• He/she is expected to possess strong conceptual and analytical quantitative methods skills and have a commitment to research excellence.
• A proven academic and publication track record.
• Applicants should be completely fluent in English. Ability to write high-standard text in English.
