We\xe2\x80\x99re seeking a Ports Technical and Delivery Director to help oversee the complex and the everyday project tasks for a variety of clients. Based in Dubai, as Ports Technical and Delivery Director, you\xe2\x80\x99ll have an opportunity to work on projects across the Middle East with the support of a global team. You will report directly to the Executive Director of Operations and lead, develop a team of managers, alongside a highly motivated team of professionals in a fast-paced environment in the UAE. You will lead multi-disciplinary, multi-office project teams to execute and deliver safe technical solutions to agreed standards, on-time, and within budget. You will need a flair for collaboration and have established your reputation to the highest standards of service and technical delivery across a broad range of major projects. You will be exercising your professional judgement and will lead high-level management meetings on projects and will provide appropriate technical guidance to develop your team. You will coordinate resources, plan tasks and will contribute to our business goals. You will quickly assimilate into leading the team and role, performing as Ports Technical and Delivery Director, bringing project delivery experience within a multi-disciplinary environment. You will be responsible for ensuring technical issues across the ports project portfolio are addressed alongside inter-discipline and inter-office project planning, delivery, and financial performance. You will have autonomy over the technical leadership and quality management of project deliverables and drive the business development activities including business relationships with Clients, identifying work opportunities, and managing delivery of proposals. You will have the opportunity to utilize your technical and professional leadership, support, and development of the team. This role is a key pillar of the Jacobs Ports and Maritime strategy and will have a central position in engaging our clients at the highest levels to understand and support their aspirations. You will work with valued clients, supporting their requirements as necessary, assisting strategic bids, leading the port planning effort, growing the team and being a visible industry leader in delivery. You will partner with sales to ensure healthy growth of portfolio at market/sector level and stay on top of the market trends and the teams\' capabilities to recommend hires and fill service-offering gaps as needed. You will develop best practice and ensure a consistent approach to delivery execution across the Middle East region. Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:
As a successful candidate you will have a degree in a relevant field of study and MSc is advantageous, with a background focused on automated operations and heavy structures and links into the maritime sector. You will have experience of working in design and delivering for EPC Contractors. You\'ll bring a diverse range of experience, having delivered large projects with a proven ability to develop good working relationships with clients, and preparation of bids and proposals. If you have Middle East experience as well as port automation, it would be very advantageous. You\'ll need strong communication and presentation skills to address senior leaders and executives to communicate effectively with the client and other stakeholders and you\'ll have demonstrable experience of leading and inspiring large supervision teams.
