Position Overview
DP World is seeking a Port Expansion Manager to support the design, modeling, and development of new port terminals and expansion projects. The role will focus on conceptual design, business development support, due diligence, and adoption of advanced stevedoring technologies, ensuring cost-effective, sustainable, and future-ready terminal solutions.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Global VP Port Expansion with business development and project management tasks
• Design conceptual terminal layouts including vessel sizes, quay cranes, equipment selection, and capacity modeling
• Ensure operational knowledge and best practices are embedded in new designs and expansions
• Conduct due diligence visits, providing operational assessments and reports
• Collaborate with consultants and BD teams to harvest data for terminal design requirements
• Support costing and financial modeling of port expansions in coordination with project management teams
• Promote the use of innovative port technologies including automation, labor management systems, and optimization tools
• Share best practices across global terminals and ensure compliance with operational standards
• Assist in master planning and five-year strategies for terminals and regions
• Participate in simulations, scoping, and business planning activities for new facilities

Ideal Profile

• 8+ years of global container terminal management experience, including 4 years as Operations Manager or COO
• Strong expertise in terminal automation, equipment design, and port operations processes
• Experience across different operating modes such as RTG, ASC, or straddle carrier terminals
• Solid project management experience within container and non-container terminals
• Detailed knowledge of vessel operations, tug and barge processes, pilotage, weather, and port authority requirements
• Familiarity with international port consultants and global industry standards
• Skilled in safety, environmental, and security practices within port operations
• Strong analytical and modeling abilities with advanced Excel and BI tool proficiency
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
