Our client, an esteemed government organization is seeking a talented individual to lead and conduct research, analysis, and strategic planning related to policy and strategic matters. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic planning relating to policy and strategic matters primarily related to higher education and national economic development. Develop informative presentations to advise senior stakeholders on policy and strategic matters. Conduct strategic analysis and execute new programs and partnerships to advance our priorities and positively impact the socio-economic landscape. Nurture a performance management culture, including setting objectives, coaching, developing, and assessing talent. Support strategy and policy matters related to new programs, performance management, corporate strategy, organizational planning, and stakeholder management. Collaborate with the Human Resources department to recruit, develop, reward, and manage team performance. Key Communication: Internal: Executive Office, Risk, Legal, Finance, and all other departments. External: Partners including government entities, venture capital companies, private sector companies, federal and government entities, international and local subject matter experts, consulting companies, and other professional service providers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, public policy, or a related field. A relevant graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MiM, EMBA) is preferred. Master's degree in an equivalent field is an advantage. Minimum of 7 years of experience in Top tier management consulting. Experience in leading departments or multiple teams. Knowledge in higher education, R&D/innovation, or public policymaking is preferable. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines. Outstanding written and presentation skills. Competencies: Strategic Advisory: Leading intense projects end-to-end, problem definition, hypotheses development, quantitative and qualitative research, PowerPoint presentation development, and quality assurance. Problem Solving: Framing hypotheses, breaking down complex issues, and identifying novel solutions. Communications: Effective presentations to leadership, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management. Interpersonal Skills: Team collaboration, relationship-building with stakeholders, and contributing to team spirit.
