• PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Business Egypt Program is a five-year, USAID-funded program implemented by DAI. Business Egypt aims to substantially increase sales revenues and investments among Egyptian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and, by so doing, create new job opportunities, especially for women and youth. The project will co-invest with an ecosystem of institutions—business service providers, business associations, supportive government institutions, and more—to offer new products and services enabling MSMEs to better meet market demand and increase their sales. Business Egypt’s proposed sectors are renewable energy, ICT, and 3 additional sectors TBD. The project will operate from offices in Cairo, Alexandria, and Minya/Assiut (TBD). 2. POSITION DESCRIPTION The global climate change entrepreneurship ecosystem is dispersed and unconnected. Thus, a competition will be implemented in cooperation with the Youth Entrepreneurship Network (YEN) and USAID Business Egypt project, aims to embed green innovations and breakthrough technologies in the global climate change agenda. This is to be reached through establishing a COP 27 Innovation and Technology Platform that will outline current challenges that demand timely solutions. The competition will run through a platform which will be of use after the competition to be a space for interaction between startups, the government, tech companies and the Development Partners (USAID, UN agencies, etc.). The Challenge will be run as a seed for a virtual and permanent Global Innovation Hub. Egypt will formally endorse the establishment of the virtual hub as a space and continuous mechanism for sharing ideas and designing climate solutions. COP27 Innovation and Technology platform will be designed to serve as a contest management tool to serve the global challenge to be concluded in COP27 in November (phase 1); as well as an innovation hub post COP27 (phases 2) The platform will be divided into 3 pillars with 2 phases: Pillar 1: Competition management system: application, announcement, timeline, awards, filtration, screening, jury, schedule, etc. (phase 1- Prime focus) Pillar 2: General information, articles, data about climate change, previous and upcoming COP, challenges, updates, etc. (phase 1) Pillar 3: Innovation hub, Post COP27, news, events, updates, pledges, etc (phase2) The candidate is expected to create an engaging and compelling content that is crafted to capture the attention of the desired target audience, promote the platform, its key activities, and events. 3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day development of editorial content on the platform that builds meaningful connections to the competition
• Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video Script) content that serves as a tool for visibility and communication for the competition’s activities & events and related Call to Action content.
• Liaise with a team of content creators, social media and digital marketing on the implementation plan pertaining to the platform
• Liaise with various high-level stakeholders on platform content, performance and call for actions
• Measure and analyze performance.

4. DELIVERABLES

• Develop a weekly content and media plan
• Report on evolving best practices and recommended action plans – start by weekly reports then move to bi-weekly reports

5. QUALIFICATIONS

• A creative mind that combines creativity with critical thinking and analytical approach;
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Design or related field
• 5+ years of business experience in content writing, digital communications, and digital content writing;
• Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic command is a MUST;
• Portfolio of published articles and social media posts and plans.
• Deep understanding of trends happening in technology, particularly as it relates to climate change and green entrepreneurship content;
• experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business;
• Good and wide understanding of social media Key Performance Indicators;
• Background in keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimise content;
• Close attention to written communication details (typos, inconsistencies, and questionable punctuation marks);
• Robust time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously and efficiently;
• Ability to work and manage high level stakeholders;
• Plausible and outstanding presentation skills;
• Proficient in Google Suite (including Google) and Microsoft Tools;
• Knowledge of Web/ Server Hosting Technologies is a plus.
