HiringPlanning & Project Engineer (Control Systems / Electrical Engineering) for one year extendable contract, Qatar

Reports To:

Project Manager

1. Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Planning & Project Engineer with a strong background in Control Systems or Electrical Engineering. This hybrid role involves both project planning and execution responsibilities, ensuring that engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.

2. Key Responsibilities:

Planning Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather input for planning activities.

- Monitor project progress and prepare status reports, forecasts, and recovery plans.

- Identify critical paths, constraints, and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.

- Support cost tracking, resource planning, and earned value analysis.

Project Engineering Responsibilities:

- Support Project manager to prepare the procurement registers, activity list and subcontractor selection

- Coordinate engineering activities across the project.

- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.

- Prepare method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and progress reports.

3. Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning and engineering roles.

- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

- Strong understanding of control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) or electrical systems.

- Experience in Qatar Energy LNG projects will be a plus

4. Preferred Skills:

- Experience in EPC or industrial automation projects.

- Ability to interpret and review electrical/control system drawings.

- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

5. Employment Type

Contract ; 1year and expandable as per performance
