highly valued; essential skills include risk analysis, delay claims (EOT), leadership, and strong communication for managing complex project schedules and teams. Core Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is standard.

Experience:

10+ years in project planning and scheduling, with significant time in the construction industry (often 5+ years in management/lead planner roles), and specific experience in the UAE/GCC region is frequently required.
Key Skills & Software Proficiency

Scheduling Software:

Advanced proficiency in

Primavera P6

is crucial; certification is a plus.

Project Management Tools:

Strong skills in MS Project, Excel, Power BI, and data modeling.

Analytical Skills:

Expertise in schedule risk, delay analysis (EOT/forensic planning), resource optimization, and recovery planning.

Contractual Knowledge:

Understanding of contractual frameworks (like FIDIC) and claims.

Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead planning teams, liaise with stakeholders (clients, consultants, management), and present complex data clearly.
Preferred Certifications

PMP

(Project Management Professional).

(Planning & Scheduling Professional from AACE).
Role Focus

Overseeing project baselines, monitoring progress, managing subcontractor programs, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with SOPs. Supporting strategic planning, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
