Planning Manager - Construction Industry

We are seeking a

detail-oriented and highly skilled Planning Manager

to join our headquarters team in Umm Al Quwain. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in project planning, scheduling, and controls, and must hold a

PMP certification

. Previous experience in the

construction industry

will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules in accordance with contractual requirements. Prepare

baseline programs, recovery schedules, and progress updates

using

Primavera P6

and/or

MS Project

. Conduct

delay and impact analyses

(As-Planned vs. As-Built, Time Impact Analysis, Window Analysis). Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely progress and proper resource allocation. Support

contracts, commercial, and legal teams

with planning inputs during claims and dispute resolution. Review subcontractor schedules and integrate them into the master project plan. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports highlighting critical activities, risks, and resource utilization. Assist the

tendering department

with project duration estimates and methodology plans. Provide management with accurate forecasting and project performance updates. Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

in Civil Engineering or a related field.

5-7 years

of proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the UAE construction industry. Proficiency in

Primavera P6

and

MS Project

is mandatory. Strong understanding of

FIDIC contracts

, including claims, variations, and

Extension of Time (EOT)

procedures. Demonstrated expertise in

delay analysis techniques

such as Time Impact and Window Analysis. Ability to interpret contract clauses and align schedules with contractual requirements. Knowledge of UAE construction laws and contractual practices is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
