Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plan Manager to oversee and coordinate various urban planning projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, urban planning, and data analysis. This role requires proficiency in various design and planning software, as well as excellent research and report writing skills. As a Plan Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive plans that align with community goals and regulatory requirements.

Duties

Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of urban planning initiatives. Utilize software tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcView, and ArcGIS for drafting and design purposes. Conduct data collection and analysis to inform planning decisions and strategies. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders that summarize findings, recommendations, and project progress. Collaborate with various teams including construction, economic development, and transportation planning to align project objectives. Ensure compliance with environmental law and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle. Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in urban planning and related fields. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure all parties are informed of project developments.

Requirements

Proven experience in project management within an urban planning context. Proficiency in design software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcView, ArcGIS. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to collect and interpret data effectively. Excellent drafting skills with experience in report writing related to urban planning projects. Knowledge of environmental law, contracts, construction processes, economic development principles, and transportation planning is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
