Position Overview
The Strategic Transportation Planning Director will lead the development and implementation of integrated multi-modal transportation plans for Dubai, ensuring full alignment with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040. This role is responsible for managing foresight tools, overseeing strategic studies, evaluating transportation scenarios, and shaping policies that support sustainable mobility and future-ready infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Develop short, medium, and long-term multi-modal transportation plans for Dubai.
• Manage foresight tools to identify global transportation trends and prepare actionable insights.
• Conduct scenario analysis, recommend project priorities, and allocate strategic budgets.
• Perform technical reviews of transportation studies from both public and private entities.
• Collaborate with government agencies, private developers, and strategic partners to ensure effective project outcomes.
• Design and update Dubai's first and last-mile transportation strategy to promote sustainable mobility.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Urban Plan 2040 and long-term strategic objectives.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transportation Planning or a related field; PhD preferred.
• At least 14 years of experience in strategic transportation planning, foresight, and policy development.
• Advanced proficiency in transportation modeling, scenario analysis, and forecasting tools.
• Strong analytical and technical review capabilities.
• Experience engaging with government stakeholders and strategic partners.
• Proven project management skills including budget planning, study oversight, and performance evaluations.
