What You'll Do

• Review contractor material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and UAE standards
• Coordinate materials testing with subconsultants and ensure proper documentation is maintained
• Conduct field inspections to verify approved materials are used and stored appropriately
• Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and quality control documentation
• Collect, review, and file MSDS, certificates of compliance, and inspection tags
• Advise on material-related nonconformance issues and suggest corrective actions
• Monitor site practices and material storage for compliance with safety and quality regulations
• Assist in job safety and quality control initiatives for material use on infrastructure projects
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff on material control processes
• Participate in meetings related to construction materials and ensure timely resolution of material issues

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• At least 8 years of experience, with minimum 5 years as a material engineer on infrastructure or landscape projects
• Strong background in material inspection and testing for roads, highways, and public works
• Familiarity with UAE standards and material compliance procedures
• Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental compliance related to materials
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and verbal communication skills
• Registration with Abu Dhabi municipality or relevant equivalency certification is preferred
• Ability to analyze engineering data, create reports, and communicate technical findings effectively
