Position Summary:

The Planning Engineer plays a vital role in the successful delivery of projects by developing and managing detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans. The role involves close coordination with project management teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that project milestones are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Monitor progress, evaluate schedule variances and delays, and recommend corrective actions. Conduct delay analysis and support the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims including cost implications. Assign and track project resources to ensure optimal utilization across project timelines. Prepare detailed resource plans for current and upcoming projects. Identify and resolve field scheduling issues, prioritizing tasks and mitigating risks. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of data in all planning systems and tools. Support the reporting process by providing timely and accurate updates on project KPIs. Oversee employee leave planning to ensure continuous resource availability. Collaborate on cash flow forecasts, invoicing, and collections alongside the project management team. Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, schedules, and forecasts based on departmental needs. Fully comply with the organization's safety standards and regulatory compliance policies at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning.

o Experience in the UAE and in the elevator industry is a must.

Prior exposure to operations or field engineering is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong skills in time and cost tracking, delay analysis, and project reporting. High level of organization and attention to detail in managing schedules and data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams and external partners. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic project environments.
