Position Overview
This Highway Design Engineer role with AECOM Dubai focuses on planning, designing, and delivering highway and road infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies to determine project viability and design requirements
• Prepare detailed highway and road layouts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
• Develop geometric designs in accordance with safety and regulatory standards
• Design horizontal and vertical alignments based on topography and project criteria
• Prepare cross-sections, profiles, and design documentation
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and UAE regulations
• Participate in design reviews and implement corrective actions
• Prepare design reports and technical presentations
• Collaborate with surveyors, architects, and engineers across disciplines
• Contribute technical input during project meetings and reviews
• Apply best practices and stay updated on new design techniques
• Support construction documentation and client coordination

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in highway design or traffic engineering
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation
• Strong understanding of geometric design standards and safety regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines
