Job Description
Planning & Development Specialists: are responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and optimizing marketing strategies. They analyze business processes and finances, implement business plans, and establish effective networks. They may also be involved in merger and acquisition strategies. Responsilities:
- Explore and resolve policy and legal issues related to drainage and Green Stormwater Infrastructure implantation; resolve barriers related to partnerships and co-funding on public property.
- Lead capital project planning efforts, including developing strategies and approaches to maintain and improve facilities in a systematic and costeffective manner.
- Prepare and make presentations to boards, elected officials, community groups, other City departments, and external agencies.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare technical reports, landmarks nominations, long range plans, and policies.
- Develop and craft programmatic analysis and recommendations for upper management and decision-makers.
- Update assessments of critical infrastructure, identify project needs, project selection and prioritization criteria, project scopes, cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Make recommendations based on equity, code compliance, safety, life cycle, and other criteria to forward SPR\'s and City goals and priorities.
- Manage consultant teams, negotiate, prepare and administer contracts and agreements.
- Obtain permits, meet regulatory code requirements, and follow facility design and construction standards.
- Work collaboratively with all SPR divisions, other City departments, external agencies, and customers to obtain project ideas and technical input, to gather data, receive general feedback, and respond to requests for projects or new facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools, particularly Excel, and experience using project management software.
