Job Description

In this role, you will join a professional engineering, construction, and cost management team that is involved in multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh's new Central Business District that combines a real estate development of approximately 850,000 sqm of office space, 115,000 GLA of retail, 1,200 residential units, 5-star Hotels, and 600 hospitality keys. KAFD is set to be the main enabler of the KSA 2030 vision.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning and Scheduling Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to perform on developing, implementing, and maintaining scheduling and project controls functions on a portfolio of projects .

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Responsible for the overall evaluation and control of the assigned project schedules and performs schedule development, maintenance and monitoring of the planning / scheduling activities using latest planning & scheduling tools, eg Primavera.

+ Develop Project WBS (work breakdown structure), Level III / IV Construction Schedules for individual projects and Integrates inter-discipline / inter-phase schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for the entire Program.

+ Deliver timely, accurate and critical project controls information that facilitates a clear understanding of the performance of the project in relation to planned performance targets.

+ Review the schedule submitted by the contractors ensuring the reasonableness in the construction sequence, resources adequacy, correct estimation of duration, completeness of contract scope & other programming parameters including compliance with the contract requirements etc.

+ Evaluate & verify the planning and scheduling information from the updated / progress schedules, Identify the potential areas of delay, highlight the critical events & suggest mitigation measures / corrective actions.

+ Discuss, coordinate, and resolve the planning and scheduling problems with contractor and the Employer.

+ Exercise "What if" analysis to assess the time impact of each change, variation, potential event at an early stage and provide alternative courses of action & advice as a subject matter expert prior issuing such instructions.

+ Proper record keeping & notifying for the contractors delay or when the performance is behind the schedule

+ Provide the reasoned & analytic response to the contractor notices and detailed particulars using programming data, sound construction practices and contractual provisions.

+ Detailed assessment of the claims including Extension of Time, Disruption etc using leading delay analysis methodologies as window analysis & time impact analysis with strong skill to demonstrate the contractor concurrent delay.

+ Report preparation on various claims, and other matters as required

+ Coordination with the Client / PMC for finalization of various programmes, reports and claims.

+ Attending various meetings such as project progress review, kick-off, technical etc, provide valuable inputs, and prepare concise & precise minute of meeting.

+ Strong foreseeability to identify the potential risks, record & update them in Risk Register and inform the project team

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.

+ 7+ years of related work experience in infrastructure works including roads, utilities, community development and master planning etc.

+ Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software (including Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
