Scheduling Specialist

Job Purpose

Develop and implement the Site Projects Scheduling standards, methodology, coding, processes and reporting. Develop and analyze project and related portions of operational schedules including related aspects of on-line maintenance, outage management, while ensuring their integration, alignment, and interface with the respective systems within Nawah.
Activity:
Planning and Scheduling
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support Project Manager in the development, monitoring and updating of integrated project plans and schedules to execute them in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, as well as vendors and general contractors to develop accurate logic and durations for the schedules; support the review of schedules to ensure safety in all aspects.
  • Coordinate with the Outage Planning and On-Line maintenance planning processes to develop accurate installation schedules and alignment with preparation milestones and work windows.

Schedule Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Identify milestones, critical path and near-critical paths during schedule development to minimize schedule impact
  • Assess actual progress information from Operation Management Systems (OMS) or any other systems, conduct field walk-downs, and enter actual progress data into the schedule to ensure it is up to date and on track.
  • Identify and analyze schedule threats and opportunities to ensure all risks are incorporated into the risk management process.

Schedule Analysis & Reporting
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Prepare schedule reports (including:project dashboards, schedule analysis detail reports, look-ahead reports, schedule logic diagrams, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of schedule information to project team members, sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze schedule variances and recommend solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Review and comment on contractor-provided schedules for conformance with Nawah scheduling standards and alignment to the project schedule to ensure schedule quality and accuracy.

Change Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Assess and analyze trends and change notices to identify possible time savings.
  • Support project estimates by assessing activity durations and resource loading project schedules with key quantities and manpower to time phase the estimate.
  • Develop and project Trends and Change notices to track possible changes to the project schedule.

The incumbent is expected to perform standard activities as per attachments 4 & 5 in the procedure (relating to Health, Safety and Environment, Security and Business Continuity, People Management, Excellence and Quality Management

Minimum
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or Science.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.

Or equivalent as stated in the Procedure (HR-PRC-0004).

Preferred
  • Professional designation in project scheduling (PSP/PMI-SP) or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience planning and scheduling the full project cycle for projects in an operating plant environment.
