ORCC Scheduling Specialist

Job Purpose

Assist in the development, maintenance and monitoring of the Operational and Functional Readiness Schedules that forms the Nawah Operational Readiness (OR) Program within the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) Integrated Project Schedule (IPS) to enable the effective and timely delivery of the Program. Support the integration and population of the various Operational/ Functional schedules that are being produced across the organization to ensure a holistic and accurate single plan.
Activity:
Development and Maintenance of Primavera P6
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support the development and maintenance of an overall integrated Schedule for the Operational Readiness Control Center (ORCC) to ensure an accurate and realistic schedule to manage the Organization.
  • Support the creation of the Architecture of schedules for predefined milestone levels for different level of audiences, as per business needs and requirements.
  • Develop level 1, 2, 3 and 4 project schedules, in conjunction with the Functional and Project Managers (PMs), based on input of the team following rolling wave planning principle and work closely with vendors, internal PMs to develop integrated resource loaded project schedules.
  • Analyze vendors, subcontractors, functions scope of work, schedule estimates etc.and provide scheduling support to enable detailed schedules to be created for each project.
  • Schedule health monitoring and improvement as per industry standard, to maintain a healthy P6 Schedule.
  • Maintain schedule coding across allocated areas in P6 to maintain an accurate coding structure.

Schedule Risk and Issues Monitoring
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Analyze threats and opportunities that may impact the schedule and assist Functional/ Project managers (PMs) create corrective action plans.
  • Participate in regular Risk and Issues reviews with Functional/ Project team in Active Risk Manager (ARM) to analyze against the relevant project schedules to support PMs in devising mitigation actions.

Schedule Change Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support the development of Change Requests as required as described in the ORCC Handbook.
  • Conduct Impact Assessments of Change Requests on the integrated schedule and its components to support decision making.
  • Track Changes across the Integrated Schedule through managing critical paths, trace-backs and milestones in the schedule areas you are given to manage, and ensure any deltas are understood.

Schedule Monitoring and Reporting
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support the production of Monthly Progress Reports and support population and maintenance of Risk and Issues Logs with the Functional/ PMs and Risk Team as required.
  • Proactively seek feedback with other members of the Operational Readiness Team to ensure full integration and logic linking of plans and reports.
