Role Summary

:

The Piping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of piping crews and subcontractors during construction and maintenance of piping systems. The role ensures that all work is carried out safely, to the highest quality standards, and within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

:

Supervise and coordinate all piping activities on site. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Review and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs. Monitor the progress of work and prepare daily progress reports. Coordinate with QA/QC, planning, and safety departments. Resolve any technical issues or material shortages. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety protocols are followed. Support pressure testing, hydrotesting, and flushing activities. Track material and manpower usage. Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Requirements

:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in piping supervision (oil & gas, power plant, refinery, etc.). Strong knowledge of piping materials, standards, and installation practices. Ability to read isometrics, GA drawings, and P&IDs. Good communication and leadership skills. Familiar with safety and quality procedures. Valid safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are an advantage.
