Position Overview
ADNOC Group is seeking a Piping Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering support across Operating Plants, Pipelines, Major Projects, and Technical Projects. The role ensures safe, reliable and maintainable piping systems throughout all project phases, from concept through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical Support
Provide piping engineering support to sites and project teams through RTS requests.
Prepare Statements of Requirements (SOR) and develop Scope of Work (SOW) for consultants.
Design in-house piping works including drawings, specifications, data sheets, and BOQs.
Review piping design basis, plot plans, layouts, isometric drawings, and perform stress analysis.
Ensure proper material selection and integrity of piping systems.
Participate in HAZOP reviews and ensure cost-effective, value-added engineering.
Support engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
Assess and authorize design deviations, concession requests, and contractor trend notices.
Technical Studies
Conduct or manage technical studies related to piping engineering and prepare professional reports.
Review and approve piping-related drawings, specifications, data sheets, and technical documents.
Ensure engineering contractors deliver safe, operable, and maintainable piping systems.
Design General Specifications
Update and develop company DGS (Design General Specifications).
Prepare and issue standards, procedures, and guidelines related to piping.
Ensure DGS documents are implemented consistently across all projects in line with ADNOC requirements.
Root Cause Analysis
Participate in root cause analysis for piping failures and chronic issues.
Recommend solutions to prevent recurrence and safeguard asset integrity and operability.
Supplier & Consultant Pre-qualification
Participate in evaluating and endorsing suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, and consultants for piping-related work.
Ensure all parties meet ADNOC competency and quality expectations.
Supervision
Plan, supervise, and coordinate piping engineering activities within the assigned scope.
Provide guidance, training, and development to assigned staff.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years of experience in piping engineering within a large engineering or oil and gas company.
Strong knowledge of piping design, materials selection, stress analysis, and valve specifications.
Familiarity with international piping codes, standards, procurement, and construction processes.
Experience with piping stress analysis software such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, etc.
Understanding of pipeline engineering support, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
Knowledge of HAZOP and risk management processes.
