Job Overview:
This role is responsible for evaluating patients referred to physiotherapy, organizing and implementing individualized therapeutic programs and monitoring the patients progress and response to treatment. This role would include the ability to demonstrate clinical knowledge and understanding that is relevant to their area of practice and underpins their individual scope of practice, recognize their role and responsibilities within the patients plan of care, and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, evidence-based practice, and physiotherapy practice of service users through the life span. This role is responsible to operate in line with M42 and Department of Health (DOH) policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities
- Interprets referrals and conducts initial evaluation, problem identification and diagnosis of physiological and psychological functioning.
- Develops, delivers, and modifies treatment plans and provides appropriate treatment for an individuals physiological and/or psychological needs within the context of the person as an individual.
- Defines patient-centered goals and educates the patient, caregivers, and IDT of these.
- Informs patients about their recommended physiotherapy treatment plans and treatment modalities, and ensures understanding, consent and cooperation from the patient prior to commencing the therapy.
- Uses relevant standardized outcome measures to evaluate progress, appropriately monitors patient tolerance and response to therapeutic interventions and provides progressions and modifications to the treatment plan as necessary to achieve the established patient centered goals.
- Conducts constant risk assessments and adheres to necessary safety measures during therapy sessions.
- Uses appropriate strategies to effectively facilitate client self-management and health promotion education to enhance health and well-being.
- Develops and maintains records and reports of all patient assessments and treatments in an accurate and timely manner that reflect specific information and services provided to the patient.
- Ensures that administrative tasks linked to patient care, including documentation, billing, insurance submissions, and requests are completed as per policy and regulations.
- Liaises with Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation team and clinical caregivers on the suitability of clinical equipment and inventory supplies.
- UAE National talent
- BSc in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy or Direct entry of a recognized program with attainment of MSc degree in Physiotherapy
- Minimum of 6 years of continuous experience post qualification in the physiotherapy and rehabilitation field
- Minimum of 4 continuous years in a designated specialty i.e. (ICU, Neuro, Orthopaedics, MSK, Sports Rehabilitation)
- Completion of specialty qualification as per the recognized specialty certificate (DOH/DHA guidelines)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy and pre and post-operative rehabilitation, relevant procedures and current best practices
