Job Title: Machine Operator - PET Strap Production

Location: Umm Al Quwain

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Factory Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and responsible

Machine Operator

to run and maintain

PET strap extrusion lines

. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of plastic processing, extrusion machinery, and quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment. You will be directly involved in ensuring efficient production, minimal downtime, and high product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and adjust

PET strapping extrusion machines

and auxiliary equipment. Load PET raw materials (virgin or recycled) and monitor drying and feeding systems. Set machine parameters such as

temperature, speed, pressure, and tension

. Perform quality checks on finished straps (width, thickness, strength, appearance). Detect and resolve operational issues such as

bubbles, rough edges, misalignment, or embossing defects

. Conduct daily preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines and working area. Record daily production logs, material usage, machine settings, and downtime reasons. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety regulations.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of

plastic extrusion

, especially

PET material behavior

. Familiarity with plastic processing equipment:

dryers, extruders, embossing units, winders

. Ability to read and adjust machine controls and gauges. Basic troubleshooting skills (e.g., identifying mechanical or process faults). Understanding of

quality assurance techniques

in plastic production.

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma, technical diploma, or equivalent. Minimum

2 years of experience

in a plastics manufacturing or extrusion environment. Experience with PET strapping lines (preferred but not mandatory). Mechanical aptitude or technical training in machinery operation is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and focus on quality. Good communication and teamwork. Ability to follow instructions, safety rules, and reporting protocols. Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.

Work Conditions:

Factory floor environment with moderate to high noise levels. Standing, bending, lifting (up to 25 kg), and working near hot equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
