Job Title: Machine Operator - PE Bag Production

Location: Umm Al Quwain

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Employment Type: Full-Time / Shift-Based

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled

Machine Operator

with experience in plastic processing to operate and maintain machinery used in the production of

PE bags

. The successful candidate should understand the properties of PE (Polyethylene), have hands-on experience with plastic converting machines, and ensure high-quality output with minimal waste.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate

PE bag making machines

(such as film extrusion, cutting & sealing units). Load PET rolls or sheets and ensure proper feeding into the machine. Adjust settings such as

temperature, sealing time, cutting length, and speed

according to production specifications. Monitor the machine during operations and perform visual inspections of bags for defects like

incomplete seals, irregular sizes, or contamination

. Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues and minimize downtime. Perform regular cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment. Record production output, machine settings, material usage, and downtime reports. Ensure safe working conditions and adherence to company safety policies and SOPs.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Strong understanding of

PE plastic characteristics

and converting processes. Hands-on experience operating:

Plastic film extruders

Bag making machines

(side seal, bottom seal, or wicket bag types)

Cutting, sealing, and printing units

Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with

quality control standards

for flexible packaging or plastic bags.

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma or technical certificate in mechanical or manufacturing field. Minimum

2 years of experience

in plastic bag manufacturing or similar plastic processing environment. Ability to operate and monitor multiple machines simultaneously. Technical or vocational training in machinery operation is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Effective communication skills with supervisors and co-workers. Good time management and organizational abilities.

Working Conditions:

Factory environment with exposure to heat and machinery. Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 25 kg. Use of

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

is required.
