Job Purpose
- This is a technical role with an expertise in Power BI Development and Data Engineer. This role will involve both Power BI development and Data Engineering on the Azure stack.
- This position is focused on meeting the visualisation, reporting and analytics needs of key business functions through development and experience of data models. This is a functional developer role focused on business requirements rather than a pure platform developer.
Key Accountabilities:
- Defining and developing data sets, models and cubes
- Build simple to complex pipelines & data flows in ADF which includes extracting data from the source system into the data warehouse staging area, ensuring data validation, data accuracy, data type conversion, and business rule application
- Strong Visualization skills in PBI, expert knowledge in writing advanced DAX in Power BI, Power Queries, Power Automate, M Language, R Programming
- Advance knowledge of Azure SQL DB & Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Bricks, Power BI Should be able to analyse and understand complex data
- Intelligent usage of hybrid/composite data models, Power Apps, RPA tools, ETL, etc. to resolve any challenging automation objectives
- Security Implementation like RLS in Power BI and Role implementation on SSAS (Tabular Model)
- Knowledge of Azure data lake storage is required and Services like Azure Analysis Service & SQL Databases
- Knowledge of master data management, data warehousing and business intelligence architecture
- Should have clear understanding of DW lifecycle and contribute in preparing Design documents, Unit Test plans, and Code review reports.
- Understand business requirement and actively provide inputs from Data perspectiveincluding the underlying data and flow of data.
- Should be able to implement modules that has security and authorization frameworks
Experience, Qualification and Technical Knowledge
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Data engineering & Power BI Development
- Should have worked as a Team lead in multiple projects to help the team overcome challenges in MSBI and drive project to successful completion
- Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor/Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in IT/Engineering
- Certification in PL-300, DP-203, AZ-900, DA-100
- Extremely strong candidates in Power BI Advanced DAX
- SQL and Data Modelling Skills
- R Program, Python & Excel knowledge will be a great value add
