The

Payroll Accountant

is responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll process within an organization. They ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with payroll regulations and tax laws, and the maintenance of payroll records. The Payroll Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

Handle employee timesheets, calculate and process compensation, ensure payroll accuracy, distribute pay, and resolve payroll-related inquiries.

Payroll Reconciliation & Reporting:

Reconcile payroll accounts, generate and provide payroll reports, and coordinate with Finance for accurate payroll accounting.

Employee Recordkeeping:

Maintain confidential payroll records, ensure data privacy compliance, and support payroll-related onboarding/offboarding.

Payroll Administration:

Keep payroll data accurate and up to date, ensure legal compliance, manage tax filings, and stay informed on payroll regulations.

Benefits Administration:

Manage employee benefits programs, coordinate with HR and providers for timely processing, and ensure proper payroll deductions.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

Promote safe work practices within the role's responsibilities.

Additional Duties:

Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPIERENCE

Educational Requirements / Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in the same field as Payroll Accountant

Skills and Competencies: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency using MS Office, specifically Excel. Good time management and organizational skills Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors.
