Job Overview
:
To support the payroll accounting process by preparing, validating, and reconciling payroll data and related accounting entries.
The Junior Payroll Accountant ensures the accuracy of data entry, timely coordination with HR and site timekeepers, and compliance with company policies and UAE labor laws.
What will you do?
1. Payroll Data Entry & Validation
Assist in collecting and verifying employee attendance, overtime, and deductions from HR and site timekeepers.
Support the preparation of WPS SIF files and ensure accurate employee banking details are in the system.
Enter and update payroll data into ERP software.
2. Payroll Support Activities
Help generate monthly payslips and distribute them digitally or through HR/site admins.
Support in preparing
End of Service Benefits (EOSB)
and
leave salary
calculations.
Ensure correct mapping of cost centers for payroll accounting purposes.
3. Documentation & Filing
Maintain organized records of payroll documents, including approvals, bank transfer slips, and employee deductions.
Assist in archiving payroll registers and reports in both physical and digital formats.
Support the team during
internal or external audits
by providing necessary documentation.
4. Coordination
Liaise with HR for payroll changes such as new joiners, leavers, and salary adjustments.
Coordinate with banks or exchange houses to verify WPS disbursement status when required.
Support communication between payroll, accounts payable, and site admins.
5. Other Duties
Assist with monthly reconciliations and variance reports.
Provide support in updating payroll-related master data.
Support the senior accountant in preparing schedules and monthly payroll closures.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting

Finance
, or
Business Administration
.
Experience:
1-2 years of accounting or payroll experience, preferably in the
construction or contracting industry
.
Fresh graduates with accounting internships and ERP knowledge may be considered.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of payroll accounting principles.
Familiar with
ERP systems
.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(data entry, formatting, formulas).
Soft Skills:
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Team-oriented with willingness to learn.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
