You will work in partnership with senior stakeholders in the Energy, Power, Renewables, Metals & Mining and Agricultural sector, developing and servicing clients in Central Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The Trade & Working Capital Client Service Team is responsible for the servicing of Commercial and Structured Trade Finance products. The team is also required to use in-depth product knowledge to resolve challenging client facing issues during the product lifecycle.
As a Trade & Working Capital Client Service Account Manager - Commodities Specialist in Payments, Trade Services team you must be a Subject Matter Expert in Trade instruments such as Letters or Credit and must have a proven experience in the Trade Department of a leading International Bank with a focus on assisting Oil & Gas and/or international Commodities Traders.
Job responsibilities
Manages the process of issuing, confirming and discounting Letters of Credit (\xe2\x80\x9cLC\xe2\x80\x9d) and Standby Letters of Credit (\xe2\x80\x9cSBLC\xe2\x80\x9d) on behalf of Commodities clients in the Oil & Gas, Power, Metals & Mining or Agricultural sector
Has deep knowledge of LC/SBLC mechanisms for Commodity Products
Understands very well the Oil & Gas and Commodities industries
Knows key market practices in the sector: for example, is able to identify if certain clauses are considered as market practice or if they are not common in the industry
Explains the clients\' LC requirements to internal stakeholders, assessing key risks and mitigants for the bank
Shows strong Leadership and Coaching skills - shares industry expertise with Client Service Account Managers to develop and maintain SME status within the team
Operates in a collaborative environment and possess strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization; works within tight deadlines
Understands the Commodity products lifecycle from front to back and be the \xe2\x80\x9cgo-to\xe2\x80\x9d person within the team
Partners with Trade Sales as Trusted Advisor to enable new business and solutions
Works closely with the Client Service, Operations, and Compliance teams and other regions to close gaps and standardize processes / improve consistency
Communicates with clients to solve immediate day-to-day issues on live transactions as well as understand their long term needs to shape business decisions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
SME of Commodities products in terms of product characteristics, risk, market data and industry trends
Strong knowledge of the Oil & Gas and Soft & Hard Commodities products and industry
Previous experience in another Financial Institution dealing with Trade Finance Letters of Credit products related to shipments of commodities
Ability to articulate a commercial rationale to Client Service Account Managers and Operations teams covering commodity transactions
