We are looking for an experienced Payment Settlements Assistant to join our fast-growing IIQAF team. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and efficiently to ensure timely and error-free payment settlements.
The Payment Settlements Assistant will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operational aspects of the payment settling process. This includes preparing all payments, processing customer requests, and resolving discrepancies. The position also requires the individual to enter and review settlement data, interpret customer regulations, and verify accuracy for each transaction.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial markets, including a sound understanding of banking, regulations, and international payments. The candidate should also have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well under time constraints. The successful candidate should be well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare payment documents and ensure accuracy of all payment instruments
Process all payments in timely and accurate manner
Monitor payment status within the payment form or interface
Reconcile payment files and ensure accurate and timely payments of processed files
Working with banks and customers to ensure timely and accurate settlement of payments
Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues related to payments
Process customer wire payments
Interpret customer regulations and ensure compliance
Prepare weekly, monthly, and year-end payment reports
Monitor customer accounts, investigate discrepancies, and provide customer support
Assist with system implementations as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar
Minimum of 1 year of experience in payment and settlement operations
Knowledge of financial markets and international payments
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Proficiency in MS Office and other accounting software
Ability to work under pressure, good time-management skills, and team player
