Key Responsibilities

  • Process payment transactions accurately and within agreed service level agreements
  • Ensure all transactions fully comply with customer instructions, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Minimize operational risk by adhering strictly to bank procedures, controls, and compliance standards
  • Perform daily processing activities related to assigned payment products or sub-functions
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items
  • Support internal departments by providing timely operational delivery and assistance
  • Maintain proper record management and archival in line with bank guidelines
  • Act as primary custodian for security items and customer records
  • Prepare periodic reports and management information to support decision making
  • Maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Participate actively in unit, departmental, and bank-wide initiatives
  • Support multi-desk and multi-function operations as required
  • Assist line manager in identifying and mitigating operational risks
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
  • Ensure strong housekeeping standards including reconciliations and trackers
Performance and Control Accountabilities
  • Achieve zero operational losses and zero high-risk errors
  • Ensure no near-miss or income leakage events
  • Maintain zero customer complaints and at least 95% adherence to turnaround time standards
  • Achieve internal customer satisfaction scores above 90%
  • Ensure no unauthorized breaches of policies, procedures, or regulatory requirements
  • Maintain satisfactory audit ratings with no critical findings
  • Support implementation of approved process improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant banking operations experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar payments processing role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good understanding of payment operations, controls, and reconciliation processes
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines and service standards
  • Strong sense of accountability, compliance, and risk awareness
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and support multiple functions
