Job Summary:
The Patient educator provides compassionate and empathetic guidance to help patients to manage the impact of their condition and to receive their treatment effectively. The educator is a qualified healthcare professional who complements the education and care provided by the patient's own healthcare team. The role involves regular patient contact, in person and by telephone, and is responsible for building rapport and helping to address their patients' personal challenges and needs. Facilitate successful communication between patients, physicians and third-party payers that leads to shared motivation to achieve treatment goals. Ensure continuous patient education, motivation, consultation and follow up.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Introduce the support program to physicians and explain value to patients and physicians
Maintain regular visits to physicians for referrals and updates
Provide patients with education on their condition, medication, self-management practices
Ensure patient's understanding of condition, medication and when to seek help
Support patients with their pain points to ensure a seamless patient journey
Perform administrative duties such as collecting patient and physician consents to initiate services
Timely reporting of updates to physicians regarding their patients
Maintain accurate and complete patient records
Meet or connect with patient regularly, as agreed by both parties, for ongoing education and support
Ensure patients data privacy is 100% protected and confidential information is not disclosed under any circumstances.
Manage and report any potential adverse events, product quality issues or other perceived safety risks according to defined program procedures.
Create and submit reports as needed
Train other healthcare professionals
Requirements
Education:
· Degree in Pharmacy or Allied Health Care professionals
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience as an educator (Arabic & English)
· Driving License is a Must
