Pathologist Needed

Location:

Republic of Nauru

We are seeking a

qualified and experienced Pathologist

to oversee laboratory diagnostics and pathology services on the island. This is a unique opportunity to work in a small national health system where your contributions directly influence patient outcomes across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and report on histopathology, cytology, and hematology specimens Oversee diagnostic laboratory services and ensure quality standards Support diagnosis and management of infectious diseases, cancers, and chronic conditions Provide training and mentorship to local lab and clinical staff Collaborate with clinicians for accurate and timely diagnostic decisions Support public health and disease surveillance efforts

Qualifications:

Medical degree with specialization in Pathology (Anatomic or Clinical, or both) Valid medical license and board certification (or equivalent international credentials) At least 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience Experience working in low-resource or remote settings is a strong asset Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Contract & Benefits:

12 months contract (minimum 6-month commitment)
