Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Supervision

: Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing the pastry team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Production

: Prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring quality and presentation meet the establishment's standards.

Recipe Development

: Collaborate in creating new recipes and seasonal menus, contributing creative ideas for desserts and pastries.

Inventory Management

: Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies, order new stock as needed, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Quality Control

: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Team Leadership

: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications



Experience

: Typically requires 4-6 years of experience in pastry production, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Culinary Education

: A degree from a culinary school is preferred, with a strong foundation in baking and pastry techniques.

Creativity

: Ability to develop innovative dessert concepts and present them attractively.

Attention to Detail

: Strong focus on quality and presentation, ensuring all products meet high standards.

Leadership Skills

: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate the pastry team.
