Pastry Chef
to join our Culinary Team.
Job Summary:
The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked items while maintaining the hotel's culinary standards, food safety regulations, and cost controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and bakery items
Develop and present attractive dessert displays and buffet items
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation in all pastry products
Follow hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
Manage daily mise en place and production schedules
Control food costs, minimize waste, and ensure proper storage
Assist in menu planning and seasonal dessert creation
Supervise and guide commis pastry staff when required
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
Coordinate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel or reputable restaurant (4-star experience preferred)
Knowledge of bakery, desserts, chocolate work, and basic sugar work
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Creativity with attention to detail
Team-oriented with a professional attitude
