Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Pastry CDP for our esteemed client in Kuwait. We are looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie (CDP) to manage and operate a designated section of the pastry kitchen. The CDP will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, bakery items and chocolate works while maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Pastry & Dessert Preparation Prepare a wide range of pastries, cakes, tarts, mousses, breads, and plated desserts according to recipes and quality standards. Decorate and present pastry and baked items with precision and creativity. Ensure consistent taste, portioning, and visual appeal.

2. Section Supervision Independently manage the assigned pastry section (e.g., cold desserts, bakery, plated desserts). Ensure all mise en place is ready for service periods. Coordinate with the Pastry Sous Chef to ensure efficient service and workflow.

3. Hygiene & Safety Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times. Adhere to food safety standards (FSSAI guidelines if in India). Monitor and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

4. Team Collaboration Guide and train junior chefs and commis in the pastry section. Communicate effectively with other sections to ensure smooth operations. Assist in new menu development and seasonal dessert planning when required.

5. Inventory and Cost Management Assist in managing inventory for the pastry section. Track usage and minimize wastage of ingredients. Ensure cost-effective use of supplies without compromising quality.

Requirements: Strong command of English and excellent communication skills. Must possess solid technical knowledge and culinary skills. Capable of preparing reports such as duty rosters, sales reports, and food cost analysis. Should demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to manage a team effectively. Age requirement: below 35 years.
