Job Description
Classic Car Parts Restoration
Key Responsibilities
- Restoration & Technical Oversight
- Assess, refurbish, and restore used classic car parts to OEM or period-correct standards.
- Supervise finishing process.
- Ensure quality control and repeatability through documented workflows.
- Ability to assess condition of vintage parts (corrosion, wear, fatigue).
- Ability to distinguish between repairable vs. scrap parts.
- Ability to appraise based on rarity and condition.
- Documentation
- Systematically document part numbers, trim codes and restoration steps.
- Photograph parts (before/after, detail shots, catalog-ready images) for archives and sales listings.
- Maintain a digital archive with searchable records and condition grading.
- Inventory & Sales Management
- Manage listings across online platforms (eBay etc.) and direct sales channels such as TCW used parts website.
- Provide transparent condition reports to build buyer trust.
Requirements
- Good technical background in automotive repairs and spare parts.
- Prefer someone skilled in documentation, cataloging and photography for inventory management.
