Partnership & Development Unit Head

Job Description

The role of the Partnership & Development Unit Head is to responsible for developing and implementing a plan for corporate giving and engagement and build vital links with the regional and national business community.

Responsibilities:

Support in the development and manage the implementation of the partnership & development strategy in order to reach agreed revenue targets and will secure funds to support the company vision and mission.

Manage unit employees including recruitment & selection, identifying scope of work and accountability, setting goals, objectives and KPIs, performance management, mentoring coaching, and professional development

Develop the budget and business performance metrics & targets for the unit.

Work with the Department Director and Section Head to develop the partnership & development strategy and a comprehensive membership scheme for the company with categories at various levels of giving.

Work with the Section Head on the development of the partnership and fundraising strategy, as well as the annual plans and fundraising / sponsorship targets.

Develop and manage the implementation of sponsorships & fundraising campaigns and events sponsorship campaigns

Identify, establish, maintain and strengthen relations with partners, members, the Board of Directors and other external stakeholders

Evaluate the full spectrum of the company assets that could further particular corporate objectives, from association with the company as a brand to specific related benefits; and identify which sponsorship opportunities are most relevant to the companies vision and mission.

Develop effective strategies for income generation within the existing partnership structure.

Develop and maintain key resources to support program bids including standing documents, databases of activity costs and day rates, database of financial and other relevant policies.

Collaborate with directors across the company to identify potential fundraising and sponsorship opportunities to create partnership opportunities and proposals.

Keep up to date with charity, fundraising, sponsorship and tax legislation in the UAE to ensure compliance and to keep senior management & stakeholders informed of options and limitations.

Requirements

Education / Qualifications:
  • Degree-level in a relevant subject, e.g. business administration, finance, museum studies or marketing.
Required Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience

At least 3 years proven track record of fundraising in a non-profit organization or an international organization

Proven ability to meet fundraising targets

Good knowledge of philanthropic sector - foundations, companies and high net worth individuals - in the UAE

Experience of dealing with high-level stakeholders and decision makers.

Experience of budget management.

Knowledge of the corporate sector and its intersection with history/cultural arts community.

Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
